As
described in the advert, we are looking to find active researchers who are
“motivated to become the Principal Investigator for next generation
astronomical instruments and facilities”. The ambition is that they will work
closely with instrumentation teams at NRC HAA (supporting and developing either
facility projects and/or strategic R&D), and will be a main science
contact/interface for these teams with the wider astronomy community. It is
expected that they will also conduct their own research on instrumentation,
and/or on observational astronomy topics related to their instrumentation
interests. Depending of their research interests, they could be located at
either the DAO (Victoria) or the DRAO (Penticton), both in beautiful British
Columbia.
Please
circulate this advert within your networks, and feel free to direct any
inquiries to me.
Thanks,
Alan
