Two Postdoctoral Positions in
Theoretical Astrophysics
The Theoretical Astrophysics Group (TAG)
at Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) invites applications for
two postdoctoral fellow positions in Theoretical or Computational Astrophysics.
The appointment date is July 1st, 2021,
but the exact date is negotiable. The initial appointment is for 2 years, with
possible extension to the third year, depending on research performance.
We are looking for excellent candidates
with a Ph.D. in Astronomy or Physics and strong background in theoretical astrophysics
or computational astrophysics. However, priority will be given to candidates
with demonstrated experience in one of the following topics: dust astrophysics,
CMB foregrounds, interstellar magnetic fields, star and planet formation, MHD
simulations, radiative transfer, and astrochemistry. The successful candidate
will work with Dr. Thiem Hoang on the topics of mutual interests in the
aforementioned areas.
We offer an internationally competitive
package of salary and benefits, and an additional research fund of ~7,000 USD
per year will be provided. Postdoctoral fellows are also eligible to apply for
their own grants from the National Research Foundation.
