KASI - ASC Millimetron Online Workshop
(15-17 November; UT 6:00 - 9:00)

We are going to have the KASI - ASC (Astro Space Center of Lebedev Physical Institute, Russia) Workshop on the Millimetron Space Observatory project. 

The Millimetron is a 10m space telescope designed to study various objects in the Universe at millimeter and infrared wavelengths from 0.07 to 10 mm with two operation modes: Space-Earth VLBI and single-dish. 

The Space-Earth VLBI mode will provide high angular resolution up to 10^-8 ~ 10^-9 arcseconds to study the structure of the most compact objects in the Universe (e.g., supermassive black holes). The single-dish mode will have the best sensitivity to study the weakest source of the Universe.

The goal of this workshop is as follows.

(1) to promote mutual understanding between ASC and KASI on the Millimetron project

(2) to share each interest and to look for common interest related with Millimetron project

(3) to explore practical collaboration items/subjects in both science and technology.

Anyone who is interested in the Millimetron project can participate in this workshop. 

The most up to date information about the Millimetron (development status, science program, orbital configuration, data processing etc) will be presented and discussed.
